The Baroque influence could be seen in the curlicue ornate frames of the sunglasses. Brothel creepers with a triple layered striped sole looked uncompromisingly ugly but will prove influential.
Prada has carved her reputation on making the seemingly incongruent work, and built a highly successful luxury brand on making the slightly wrong look right. Prada was wearing a pair of garishly cool banana earrings during the show, saying "I wanted to put them in the show, but my assistant thought they were not beautiful enough."
